Legion Updates

Ramble Rousers
The past few weeks have been busy ones for the Legion. Memes flew, zones were contested, payouts from planetfall stacked up, and the racers among us burned through fuel and patience in equal measure. We even had Legionnaires dabbling in worm farms, because apparently someone decided agriculture counts as operational readiness. At the end of it all, LuckyKray walked away with the title of Meme Champion. A word of warning, Kray: that crown isn’t made to last. Someone else will come swinging for it soon enough. These little distractions have been the backdrop to something bigger. Every joke, every skirmish, every credit earned is sharpening us for what comes next in the Onyx facilities.
One story, though, managed to cut through the noise. CMDR Richard_Pickman decided that what the Legion really needed was a fleet of Drake Cutter Ramblers, and he put his credits where his mouth was. By the end of the night, twenty-two Legionnaires had walked away with their own Rambler at no cost to themselves. Free ships, courtesy of one commander’s generosity. It wasn’t just about the ships, though. It was about what came after.
With ADMR ChicagoTed’s Idris as the launch point, the fleet of Ramblers took to the skies. A picture was snapped to capture the moment, but the real memory is in the sight of dozens of small, stubborn little ships rolling out together. It didn’t look like much to the outside eye, maybe, but for the Legion it was something else. The Rambler has become more than a ship in our hangars. It’s a symbol, a shared joke that turned into a banner. Some say cult following. Others just nod and climb in for the ride.
That’s been life in the Legion lately. Busy, loud, unpredictable. Memes crowned a champion, one commander built a fleet, and everyone found a way to keep sharp while keeping things interesting. The Onyx facilities are on the horizon, and they’ll get our serious side soon enough. Until then, we’ll keep doing what we do best: everything, all at once.

NEWS | Peggy “Stardust” Verelli

Update 4.3.1
Legionnaires, the Science Wing of the Onyx facilities has been breached with the 4.3.1 update, and it’s unlike any contested zone we’ve faced before. This sector is a labyrinth of sealed laboratories, research vaults, and vertical shafts that demand precision movement under fire. Resistance is heavier and less predictable—patrols change, reinforcements arrive faster, and environmental hazards make every push into the unknown a gamble. For SPEAR, this wing is both opportunity and crucible: it’s where maps are drawn in real time and every fireteam writes the first chapter with their boots on the floor.
Gear smart, and you’ll live to see the payout. The wing’s corridors are narrow and twisting, favoring compact rifles, SMGs, or shotguns that give you maneuverability without losing stopping power. Grenades and breaching charges have become indispensable—whether for clearing choke points or forcing entry where the facility doesn’t want us to go. Always carry a reliable sidearm; when the room is crowded and the rifle runs dry, you’ll be glad you did. Stay mobile, keep your spacing tight, and watch the verticals—hostiles can come from angles most of us aren’t used to.
One final note: medical systems have changed with this update. For details on what this means in practice, Legionnaires should refer to Evenlease’s Medical Gameplay mobivid before their next drop. Knowledge of the new rules may well decide whether a run ends in success or in a body bag. The Science Wing is open, but it won’t be forgiving. Enter prepared, and exit with something worth the scars.
