The Legion Lends a Handā€¦ and Maybe a Few More

As the 4.2.1 Second Life Supply Drive surges forward, one name is echoing louder through the dusty corridors of Stantonā€™s trade lanes: the Legion.

Though Arccorp is trailing in the system-wide standings, the Legion has thrown its weight behind the underdog with characteristic force and efficiency. Hundreds of missions have been completed by our ever-dedicated Legionnaires, each run a testament to discipline, organization, and sheer will. While others race for credits and clout, the Legion runs for honorā€”and maybe a little bit of fun.

Of course, not all help comes in tidy packages. Sources within the Legionā€”who asked not to be namedā€”hinted at an unorthodox logistical effort that made significant contributions to Arccorpā€™s supply count. One particularly large-scale ā€œredistribution event,ā€ reportedly involving MPUV Tractors and a Polaris-class vessel, saw several hundred SCU of valuable cargo rerouted to Legion manifests.

Was it sanctioned? Not exactly. Was it effective? Absolutely.

In the end, itā€™s results that matter. Arccorpā€™s stockpiles are growing, the tides are shifting, and the Legion is quietly, confidently steering the course.

Resource Driving Mad

With the launch of 4.2.1, we have our new patch-long event from CIG: The Race for Stanton. As many of you have no doubt experienced already, there are a lot of issues coming from both the game and player side. Today I want to leave you with some quick tips on how to stay safe from the latter issue.

To quote CMDR | Cypher-1,

"If you see an MPUV, this pad is not for thee."

This is important, because when loading up cargo from planet cargo elevators, players are able to use vehicle tractor beams to steal your contracted cargo. There is no real defense against this on your own and outside of your ship. The safest thing to do is move on. Likewise, act similarly if you see a Prowler Utility, or other tractor beam-enabled ship.

Another thing to watch out for: if you see fighters loitering around your loading area, there is a very real chance there is a swarm of them in waiting. They may try to catch you as you leave Hard Armistice and blow you up for your cargo.

But the best thing to do is trust your gut. If something feels off, move on. Learning how to avoid these threats can help reduce frustration on top of the gameā€™s existing challenges.
